{"id":711,"date":"2016-01-25T21:23:39","date_gmt":"2016-01-25T20:23:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.blog.moveadminister.co.uk\/?p=711"},"modified":"2025-07-24T10:23:52","modified_gmt":"2025-07-24T09:23:52","slug":"reset-concurrent-user-resetcu-changes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blog.moveadminister.co.uk\/?p=711","title":{"rendered":"Reset Concurrent User (ResetCU) Changes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\tAs a result of companies being able to log more users into <strong>Move Administer<\/strong> than their licence allows we have been forced to make changes to <strong>ResetCU<\/strong>.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tIn the past <strong>ResetCU<\/strong> has just kept a simple counter on how many people are concurrently logged in, incrementing as people log in and decrementing as people log out. However, together with keeping the simple counter we now log the Login Date, Login Time, Username, Initials, PC Username, PC Name, PC IP Address, and simply remove them from the log as they log out.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tYou will now be able to see who is logged in by choosing <em>Help -&gt; System Information<\/em>, from within Move<strong> Administer<\/strong> and <strong>User Administer<\/strong>. This is an ideal way to see any duplicated users, or users who have a login date of &lsquo;days&rsquo; ago &ndash; both cases possibly being due to crashes, leaving <strong>Move Administer<\/strong> thinking they are still logged in and therefore taking up one of your valuable user licences.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tSo, rather than having to get everyone out of <strong>Move Administer<\/strong> in order to run <strong>ResetCU<\/strong> you can now run <strong>ResetCU<\/strong> and reset the connection of the user(s) you believe are not actually logged in. However, <strong><u>beware<\/u><\/strong> and use with <strong><u>caution<\/u><\/strong>, <em>do not reset a user that is actually logged in as this may cause data loss or damage<\/em>, as you will be made aware when you press the Reset button.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tAnd please note, every time <strong>ResetCU<\/strong> is ran and the Reset button is pressed an audit is created to inform us of who ran <strong>ResetCU<\/strong>, who pressed the Reset button and the initials of the user reset.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tOur apologies if you now have a need for additional users, but these are readily available for a mere cost of &pound;500 per user, with your annual support increasing by &pound;165 per user.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size:8px;\">Prices shown are excluding VAT.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As a result of companies being able to log more users into Move Administer than their licence allows we have been forced to make changes to ResetCU.
